"TMate new look at the good old CVS"

TMate is a combined IntelliJ IDEA plugin and web application that helps you work smarter and more efficiently with your CVS and/or Subversion repositories. It leverages IntelliJ IDEA's built-in version control support (including file Diffing) to improve the efficiency of your teamwork through increased awareness of changes in your repository.

What's New in TMate 2.0

With version 2.0, TMate enhances its Subversion support, by adding new smart features, previously available only for CVS users:

  • Local Change Sets: You may create any number of named change sets, distribute files among them, roll back or commit change sets individually. Read more
  • Pending Updates: Using Subversion repository capabilities, TMate displays which project files you need to update and helps you resolve possible conflicts before they happen. Read more

It's all in how you see things

Up To Date Development History

TMate displays raw repository data as a set of transactions. This new way of looking at your repository helps you and your team work smarter in several key ways:

  • Track Modifications: TMate indexes all existing information, and new information as it is added. This enables TMate to assemble and display useful and meaningful views on the repository quickly on demand. An added benefit is that TMate can notify you immediately about changes to the repository.
  • Group for Analysis: Just as Microsoft Outlook ® groups e-mail messages, so TMate lets you group repository changes according to such parameters as User, Date, or Tag. You can easily see who is making the most/least changes and when.
  • Leverage IntelliJ IDEA: TMate further enhances the CVS/Subversion support built into IntelliJ IDEA by providing smart Commit and Update functions. Work more efficiently while keeping within your preferred JavaTM development environment.
